September Sewing Prompts

Generally the summer time is when we take off, go exploring, and sewing stays at home…then it can be challenging to find mojo to start up again. I created Summer Camp as a way to explore the outdoors and National Parks whether you were at home, or out and about. The goal was to get sewing.

I have designed the patterns to be easy…but they look SO challenging…and where do you start?!

Summer Camp is winding down, but I have heard from the camp sewers that this was just the thing they needed to get sewing! There were so many gals who had been lurking and admiring, but thought they needed special skills.

Here are 6 Sewing Prompts that will get your creative juices going.  One even includes using fabric from your scrap pile!! Then you don’t feel like you are wasting anything while you are learning. We aren’t looking for a masterpiece on the first try! You have what it takes!

Step 1. Save the Sewing Prompts to your phone so you can reference it. Or print it out (it will be available on my website)

Step 2. Get some Fiona Sandwich Patterns. I recommend Road Trip to get started. It is the easiest for sewers who have never English or foundation paper pieced

Step 3. Get sewing! I have video tutorials that will help you each step of the way.

Step 4. Post your first block in the Fiona Sandwich Quilt Along group. You will be SO encouraged by all the love and encouragement!!
