Acute Angles in FPP: How to Deal with “Tails”

One of the most annoying things in FPP, is when we have little tails poke out. Don’t worry! It happens to all of us. But you don’t have to settle for those little guys sticking out. There are a few things you can do.
1. Make sure when you are sewing the acute angle, that there is enough fabric to extend AT LEAST 1/4″ beyond the sew line AND where you will be cutting off. Please watch my videos about fabric placement.

2. Pull the tails out. In the first image, you can see the tail. If it’s left on it’s own, it will likely poke out (it could start fraying too). Pull it up, as shown in the pictures below.

 3. Pin in place, and sew. The result is that the tail will be out of the way on the front!
It’s that simple!
