This coloring book is like a choose your own adventure, but it’s choose your own dollhouse. All the pages are designed to work interchangeably. If your daughter wants a room with every wall with a different pattern, go for it! If she wants a larger room, make additional copies of the walls.
The mirrors and picture frames are intentionally left blank. Your creative genius can put whatever she wants in there. Perhaps she would like to draw a picture, or cut one out of a magazine!

We live in an older house, and space is limited. I’ve been intrigued by folding doll houses. Most are designed for 11” dolls…it is impractical to have a coloring book for an 18” doll. We had several minimally played with 6” dolls with no doll house rooms. For Christmas, I may my nieces folding dollhouses out of felt. The next thought was that not everyone sews, but glue and colored pencils or crayons are readily available.
Each of these walls are designed to fit together interchangeably. Encourage your daughter to be creative.

Secondly, this coloring book is designed for the little girl who lacks fine motor skills necessary for crafting, and for the pre-reader. My daughter has dyslexia; independent crafting can be very frustrating if there are written instructions. Coloring and drawing have become favorite pastimes for her, through it, her fine motor skills have developed from where they once were.

This book is designed for the creative girl. There are minimal things on the walls, and little to no furniture. My daughter would avoid folding play scenes with “things” in the background, because her dolls could not interact with it. The walls have things on them that would normally be found on a house wall – mirrors, a fireplace, etc. – but don’t require interaction (like a chair or a table).

Putting the walls together.
You may print as many pages as you would like for your family.
If the walls are printed on card stock, they can be taped together to create a room. Alternatively, you can print the walls on regular paper, butt them up, and glue on paperboard (like cereal boxes), or cardboard. Lightly score the line between the walls to make them stand up.

This coloring book has 5 different coloring pages. Print out, and start designing!!
