Bighorn, Desert Bighorn and Dall Sheep: One Versatile Pattern

It’s always nice when you can get lots of mileage out of one pattern; believe it or not, you can get a good amount of mileage out of this pattern. Using the Bighorn Sheep pattern, you can create a Desert Bighorn, and a Dall Sheep. The Desert Bighorn Sheep can be seen throughout the western United States. Parks with the Desert Bighorn include: Grand Canyon, Colorado National Monument, Joshua Tree, Arches, Zion, Canyonlands…even Death Valley!

Dall Sheep can be seen in sites like Denali, Gates of the Arctic, Lake Clark, Wrangell St. Elias. If you are creating Parks Canada scenes, Dall Sheep are in Kulane NP.

Of course there are many parks with Bighorn Sheep. The sites include, Rocky Mountain NP, Yellowstone, Badlands, Scotts Bluff NM, Glacier, and Grand Teton.

Whether you prefer to have quick projects with a few sites, or a larger destination quilt with all your memories, the Bighorn Sheep (and cousins) should have a place in your project!
