Just like we have added additional bear and whale patterns, it was time for an addition to the water sports, showing a scene for canoeing. This block can be used for sites that you have floated down the river such as Delaware Water Gap or Ozark National Scenic Riverways, or even to reflect portaging in Voyageurs National Park! Or it can reflect serene ‘vibes’, with a vintage flair. This has become one of my absolute favorite patterns, and I hope it will be one of yours as well!

– Foundation Paper Piecing is perfect if you can’t sew a straight line to save your life, and you want to use your sewing machine.
– English Paper Piecing is best if you don’t know where your sewing machine is/don’t have one/want to sew by ‘hand’. But this isn’t like traditional needle and thread sewing.
