Joining the National Park system in 2019, this magnificent new park encompasses almost 70,000 acres and 40 miles by roads. This unique park boasts “Grand” views, famous bridges, glimpses of the rich railroad heritage, and of course a magnificent winding river with its white water rushing.  The block reveals the Grand View of one of the many areas where the river winds its way through the eastern boundary of West Virginia.

Start with the bonus National Park sign if you are learning a new skill with paper piecing. Your blocks will turn out beautifully, it’s so much fun to watch your art unfold as you sew.

– Foundation Paper Piecing is perfect if you can’t sew a straight line to save your life, and you want to use your sewing machine.

– English Paper Piecing is best if you don’t know where your sewing machine is/don’t have one/want to sew by ‘hand’. But this isn’t like traditional needle and thread sewing.
